  • What is MLD?

    MLD is a very specific massage technique (timing, pressure and direction) which helps to ensure our bodies ability to rejuvenate and establish resistance to all types of stress.

  • Is MLD like deep tissue massage?

    It is not a muscular massage but a harmonious manual treatment using mild mechanical stretching of the connective tissue to facilitate decongestion of lymph ducts.

The MLD One Day Refresher

This one-day MLD Refresher workshop is specifically aimed at assisting those students that have already completed the MLD Level 1 two-day face to face classroom experience.

The aim of this workshop is to review, practice and perfect those MLD skills that might need a bit of a ‘touch up’.

Pre-requisite for attendance is completion of the
two-day face to face classroom experience.

This workshop will help you to remember the exact movements that are applied in each MLD sequence.

There will be a VERY SPECIFIC full run through of the whole 1.5-hour routine where students will be able to ask DETAILED questions about the exact nature of the techniques, the stances and the movements which will take your MLD routine from good to great!

Students will also be performing any sequence they choose with guided and focused assistance, ironing out any mistakes that are made and honing in the skills that will enhance the delivery of MLD in your clinical practice.

The final part of the day will be dedicated to answering students’ questions regarding how and when they are using MLD, and reviewing current literature related to the theory of the lymphatic system.

We will also be evaluating our clients’ reactions and responses to receiving MLD and how we can better assist our clients to really understand from a physiological perspective what MLD is doing for
them and how it can enhance every aspect of their wellness journey.

CPE are available with all the major associations for this groundbreaking one-day refresher course.

  • What style of MLD is this?

    This style of MLD is my own unique way to deliver it. Over the years I worked on many clients and saw results and was able to see what works and what doesn’t. It is tried and tested, and it considers the complete comfort of both the therapist and the client during the delivery.

  • How is it different?

    It is different to other styles in the sequence of the delivery and also in the fact that it considers a very important element, that being the comfort of the practitioner.

  • Why study with Rhythm?

    I love teaching. I love helping students to understand their own potential and seeing that ‘ah ha’ moment inspires me to do a great job of delivering this course – every time! I have been teaching this for over 17 years and I am still in contact with students from many years ago – assisting them to feel supported and assisted with any tricky client situations that may arise for them.
